Design Onscreen and the Denver Film Society team up again to present the 5th Annual Architecture + Design Film Series in Denver. The Film Series will showcase about 14 films over 12 days in September. At least 11 of these films are Colorado Premieres and have never been publicly screened in Colorado before this Film Series.
Films tentatively in the line up include:
Fallingwater: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Masterwork (Colorado Premiere) which features interviews from his apprentices, the son of an industrialist who commissioned a vacation home over a waterfall, and rare home movie footage; (view trailer here)
Fortuny and the Magic Lantern (Colorado Premiere) about the beautiful creations of Spanish designer Mariano Fortuny, which are inspired by the Orient and the Renaissance; and
The Human Scale (Colorado Premiere)–a thought-provoking film about Danish architect and professor who challenges us to design the modern urban city in a way that takes into account human needs and intimacy, rather than repelling it.
We will post the full schedule on the Design Onscreen website, and individual tickets and film passes will be sold through the Denver Film Society (www.DenverFilm.org) in the coming weeks. Films often sell out, so buy your tickets online as soon as they are sold. All films will be screened at the Sie FilmCenter, 2510 East Colfax Avenue, Denver.
